One of the principal objectives of PSL is the development of skills for Nigerian engineers within the industrial base of Nigeria. We have already started this with the establishment of partnership associations with experienced overseas engineering companies. This will bring the necessary skills training for our people during project execution periods. In addition, we are developing skills training programmes that will be aligned to all of our projects. One of the key aspects of this is the integration of pre-determined training milestones assigned to all payments to overseas partners and subcontractors to ensure that the training is carried out to our wishes.

The main operating criteria for the future for PSL is a controlled, on-going development of the local content initiative. This will underpin all of our activities. Nigeria needs companies such as ours to foster a strong internal engineering capability in support of the government and all of the international operators establishing permanent bases in the country.
